Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech must accept a pay-cut in order to join AC Milan during the January transfer window.
The Moroccan was keen on joining the Rossoneri last summer, but a deal did not materialise before the transfer deadline.
The Blues were eyeing his permanent sale, but the Rossoneri did not want to discuss more than a loan deal for the winger.
Ahead of the New Year, Milan are prepared to consider a permanent move but that depends on Ziyech accepting a pay-cut.
Ziyech is currently on around £100,000-a-week with the Blues and the Rossoneri can’t afford over £60,000 weekly.
Hence, the Moroccan has to accept a salary cut or the Blues need to hand him a pay off to compensate for the wages.
Ziyech has been a fringe player at the Blues this term and his situation has not improved despite the change of manager.
He is said to be desperate to leave the club this winter.
