Chelsea and Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong has no plans of leaving Barcelona in January, according to Sport.
The Netherlands international was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, but a deal never materialised.
United had a verbal agreement with Barcelona over a €85m transfer, but De Jong made it clear that he did not want to leave them.
De Jong has since struggled for regular starts under manager Xavi Hernandez, but this is unlikely to change his stance in January.
Chelsea are also keen admirers of the Dutchman alongside United, but both clubs may need to wait until next summer to sign him.
De Jong remains patient over his situation at the Catalan giants, but could be persuaded to leave if things don’t improve over the season.
Aside from De Jong, Franck Kessie also shares the same stance on his future. He is not prepared to give up on his Barcelona career just yet.
